We are pleased to announce the launch of Momentum, a 10-week programme designed to support scientists, researchers and early-stage founders translating breakthrough technologies into scalable ventures. Applications are now open for the inaugural cohort.

Momentum is structured for pre-incorporation to  early-stage teams working in areas including AI/ML, biotechnology, robotics, advanced materials, cybersecurity, energy transition, space and communications. Selected teams will receive hands-on support from experienced operators, investors and domain experts to build sustainable business models, accelerate the scaling of disruptive technologies, and receive up to S$250,000 in funding.

Unlike traditional accelerators, Moringa’s venture-building approach aims to work closely with founders from research validation through to early commercial deployment.

Through years of experience as hands-on investors, founders and operators, Momentum is designed to help deep-tech founders move from lab to market with clarity and focus, building technologies that matter to scale with Asia as a launchpad .”

FROM RESEARCH TO REAL-WORLD DEPLOYMENT

The programme begins with intensive in-person workshops in Singapore, covering research-to-market translation, IP strategy, regulatory readiness, venture modelling, financial planning, and startup leadership. Over the subsequent weeks, teams work closely with mentors to refine product-market fit, engage potential customers, and pursue pilot opportunities.

The programme culminates in a curated Demo Day, where teams present to investors, corporate partners and ecosystem leaders.

STRENGTHENING SINGAPORE’s DEEP-TECH ECOSYSTEM

Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a global deep-tech hub, with strong research institutions, translational infrastructure and increasing cross-border collaboration across Asia. Momentum contributes to this ecosystem by engaging founders earlier, particularly research teams preparing for spin-out, and supporting them with the insights, programme structure and ecosystem access needed to succeed.
